-- (REX: TSX-V) is pleased to announce the commencement of a 5,000 metre diamond drill program within the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango State, Mexico.
Major Drilling de Mexico S.A. de C.V., of Hermosillo, Sonora, has been contracted to provide drilling services for HQ size core, utilizing a UDR-200 rig.
Gary Cope, President of Orex, says; " Over 40 epithermal gold-silver vein structures have been identified at Coneto. We are very pleased to begin drill testing our selected targets and look forward to the results of our Phase-I drill program."
The first target areas to be tested in the 5,000 metre Phase-I diamond drilling program will be in the Loma Verde, Durazno, Los Sauces and Promontorio sectors. Surface exploration results were published in news releases dated 17 November 2009, 11 January and 17 March 2010.
Located in the Mesa Central on the eastern flank of the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountains, Coneto is centrally positioned in the "Mexican Silver Trend". This silver trend, stretching from Guanajuato in the southeast, through the states of Zacatecas and Durango, hosts some of the World's largest silver deposits, including the Real de Angeles, Zacatecas, Fresnillo, La Preciosa, and La Pitarrilla mining camps.
